This release features new architecture updates that enhance the scalability and performance of the G2Link application platform, as well as account security enhancements, new features, enhancements to existing features including new event types and checklists, updates to the user interface and languaging for an improved user experience, and several bug fixes.
The following new functionality-enhancing features are included with this release:
Attach a Company Profile to a Portfolio
This new feature allows you to attach your company profile to your portfolio. It is used with the new Contract event type (see below) to link your company to a company in your portfolio with whom you are contracting. This new feature will also enable future functionality. You may attach your company profile to your portfolio by clicking on the “Attach Company” link on the upper right side of your portfolio dashboard. You can change the attached company profile later by clicking on “Change Company”.
Set permissions to allow other Users and Groups to edit a private Event
You can now allow other users and groups to edit the private events you create. When creating an event with visibility set as “private”, you will first select the users and groups you wish to be able to see the event as usual. Next, as you scroll further down the list, you will have the option to select the users and groups you wish to grant permission to edit the event.
Expanded Features now enabled for Vendors
Vendors signed up as Free Users now have the ability to create events and upload documents in their company profile, and monitor checklists and receive alerts about their own company. Enabling these features for Vendors allows them to easily and proactively collaborate in keeping compliance submissions up-to-date for their customers. Gaining access to these features also enhances a Vendor’s ability to actively manage their company profile, and present the best public image on the G2Link site.
New User Interface for Company Creation and Viewing Group Membership
These changes to the Create a Company form and the View My Groups display update the look and feel for an improved user experience.
New Event Types and Checklists
The following new event types and checklists are expected to be available shortly following this release:
Contract Event Type
This new event type allows you to use the G2Link platform for contract management. When creating a contract event in a company profile, you will choose from several categories and specify the status of the contract, and select the other contracting company. You may also set dates for reviewing the contract and use our new Contract Management checklists (see below) to receive alerts.
Contract Management Checklists
These new checklists work hand in hand with the new contract event type to allow you to receive alerts and view reports which inform you about the status of a contract and identify contract events for which a review date is coming due. They serve as notifications that these contracts need reviewing for pricing, renewal or termination. You can begin monitoring these checklists by selecting them in your list monitoring menu.
Code of Conduct Sign Off Event Type
This new event type allows your vendors and other business partners to check off a box stating that they have read and agree to abide by your Code of Conduct & Ethics Policy. You may also upload a copy of your policy for them to view and download. If desired, you could request that your vendors and partners print and sign your policy document, then upload and share the signed version with you.
Code of Conduct Sign Off Checklists
These new checklists work hand in hand with the new Code of Conduct sign off event type to allow you to receive alerts and view reports which inform you about the status of your vendors’ and partners’ acknowledgment of their receipt of and agreement to comply with your Code of Conduct & Ethics Policy. You can also use these checklists to alert your vendors and business partners that you are providing them with a copy of your policy and/or requesting that they sign off. You can begin monitoring these checklists by selecting them in your list monitoring menu.
New Due Diligence Checklists
Several new checklists which monitor event types relevant to due diligence requirements will soon be available. We will send you details as they are added. You can begin monitoring these checklists by selecting them in your list monitoring menu.
